Brief History

Delhi Bible Institute, one of the first Christian organisations in the capital, had its humble beginning in the year 1954, in a rented shop in the locality of Jor Bagh Market in central New Delhi. The work of DBI was founded by the local church, now known as Bible Bhavan Christian Fellowship, which still continues to work in close co-operation with the Institute. The hand of the Lord was evident even in this small beginning and it's work steadily progressed under His blessing.

The focus of DBI is as follows :

1. Disciple and equip believers in North India.
2. Promote the reading, study and teaching of the Holy Bible.
3. Strengthen local churches.
